    The Arrowhead Tour Championship (ATC)

There are numerous ways you can generate additional revenue at this year's ouitng. Use your imagination and have fun with it. Here are a few tried and true ideas that are pretty standard at many outings along with some other ideas as well. If you are planning on any on course games or events ask the course for their suggestion on which holes would be the best fit.

Something we work very hard to do at Arrowhead is to provide our golfers with many diverse opportunities to play the great game of golf. It is one of the things that seperates us from a lot of other courses. Whether you like to golf competitively, socially or somewhere in between, there is an opportunity for you to enjoy the game of golf at Arrowhead.

One perfect example of this is The Arrowhead Tour Championship otherwise known as The ATC. The ATC is a series of seven tournaments all putting their own unique twist on the game of golf. The ATC kicks off and concludes with our Big Hole Tournaments. The Big Hole Tournaments are four person scrambles that are played on greens with eight inch holes (approximately the size of a coffee can). We hosted their first Big Hole Tournament in the Fall of 2005, since then it has become one of the area's most popular tournaments. Based on the initial tournament's success, a second Big Hole Tournament was added in the Spring of 2006. The popularity of the annual tournaments eventually led to the creation of the ATC.

Next up is our SIX person scramble, the Texas 6 Person Shoot-Out. Thanks to brutal pin placements (hey, you have six shots at it) and the quick green speeds set for this tournament, scores have not been as low as one might think. The Texas 6-Person Shoot-Out is the second event of the A.T.C.and begins to separate the contenders from the pretenders in the ATC standings.

The mid way point of the ATC is The Par-Tr3Y Open. The format is an 18 hole, three person scramble with all 18 holes decked out as par 3's.

As we reach the home stretch of the ATC things get really interesting with the GlowBall. The GlowBall Open is unlike any other golf event out there. A four person scramble with nine holes being played in the late afternoon and nine holes at night! The evening portion of the tournament is played with glow-in-the-dark golf balls while the course is lined with various glow sticks and candle bags. Every golfer needs to experience this tournament at least once in their lifetime. This fills up quicker than any other tournament we host and space is very limited.

As we continue down the stretch we have our newest tournament which is a two day event called The Crossover. Day one is at day at Arrowhead and the next day at our sister course, Morrison Lake. The event is a four person scramble and is flighted.

If this sounds like fun, we are now taking sign ups for the Texas 6 Person Shoot-Out. It fills up fast so sign up today!
